PROFESSIONAL BOXING

Making the Switch

In July 2019, after having discussions with my Amateur team at St Albans ABC, my mentor John Muprhy and my family, I felt that my time in Amateur Boxing had come to an end.

I had always felt that my style would be more suited to the professional ranks, and as I had just turned 23, the team and I felt that I was beginning to mature and was carrying more power and strength. In effect, I was starting to show my 'man strength'.

The lure of the Olympics, and the dream of winning a medal at the Olympics was very hard to look away from. However, the time spent pursuing the dream along with the chance of not reaching the Games, I felt this time could be better spent familiarising myself with the Professional ranks. As I was only 23 years old, I knew that I wouldnt have to rush, instead I would take my time and rise the ranks whilst also improving and honing my style.

NEW trainers

After signing my first professional boxing management contract with Mo Prior. I needed to join with new trainers, who would guide me through the professional ranks.

Soon after, I joined with Sean Murphy and Gary Foley of the famous Finchley and District ABC. I felt at ease with Sean and Gary as they had known me throughout most of my amateur career, therefore they were aware of my style, and importantly my strengths and weaknesses.

First 2 Professional fights

I made my debut on 29th November 2019, and I won via 1st round KO, against a seasoned opponent.

My second fight happened on the 15th February 2020, this was a UD victory over 4 rounds.

Change of Team

During the COVID19 Pandemic in 2020, I received word from my trainers that they would be unable to continue training me due to the effects of the lockdown and pandemic.

I had to begin searching for a new trainer, and I had to ensure that I was able to put my faith and trust in my new team to improve me as a fighter, whilst also protecting me when needed.

I linked up with Josh Burnham and the JABxing team, in Bushey. I felt that Josh and I had a mutual understanding with what is required from each other, and I have not looked back.

My Strength and Conditioning is now handled by Neon Samuels.

3rd Fight

In April 2021, the opportunity to box in Belgrade, Serbia presented itself. Josh and I both agreed that it would be a good idea to take the opportunity in an effect to dust off the cobwebs, and use this as a warm up for when the boxing shows in the UK restart.

The fight took place on the 22nd May 2021, and I was boxing a game opponent who only lost on points. He hadnt been stopped.

I won the fight via 3rd round knockout.
